“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:9 NLT
Practice. Practice. Practice. You’re always practicing for something, right? Big presentation? Athletic event? Singing? Anything! And you’re supposed to because the more you practice, the better prepared you’ll be!
Isn’t that the same with Christianity? What you do everyday (practice) prepares you for your end (perfection or completion)!
What’s your end? Well if you want to obtain God’s peace, verse 8 tells you to think on some things. Verse 9 tells you to learn & do them!
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Philippians 4:8 NLT
In order to keep God’s peace, you must occupy your mind with the right things in & busy yourself with the right activities.
Here’re some great practices for you to start with:
- Pray! 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
- Study & Meditation! 2 Timothy 2:15
- Find some good friends & hang out often! Acts 2:42
Of course there’re more! So email me with some or comment below! I’d love to hear ’em & hear from you!
